August 30, 2016

Every year at about this time, Fitbit announces new products to dazzle the world and this year’s no different. Ready? Meet the new Fitbit Flex 2 ($99.95) and Charge 2.($149.95) A complete overhaul of their respective predecessors if I may add.

Fitbit has traditionally done well in the domain of daily activity tracker without frills and continues to reinforce their position with these 2 new trackers.Fitbit charge 2-and-flex-2-featureBoth activity trackers are clearly designed for different groups of consumers. What’s starkly common is that both devices ship ready to be accessorised.

Fitbit Alta has been at the forefront of the partnership with Public School and Vera Wang; an assurance that fitness and fashion aren’t mutually exclusive. It’s probably a matter of time before the new Charge 2 and Flex 2 gets the designer treatment.

Essentially it does almost everything the Fitbit Blaze does, but takes on the look of the Fitbit Alta.fitbit charge 2 coloursBoth the Fitbit Flex 2 and Fitbit Charge 2 are available for pre orders now. Strategically both new devices don’t feature on board GPS, the exclusive domain of the Fitbit Surge. Perhaps it’s a matter of time before we hear of the Surge 2?
